San Francisco Cruise Lines

The Port of San Francisco is the premier gateway to the world, hosting over 100 cruise ship calls and more than 400,000 passengers every year at Pier 27 James R. Herman Cruise Terminal and Pier 35 on The Embarcadero. Cruises from San Francisco travel throughout the California Coast, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and beyond.

The James R. Herman Cruise Terminal opened in 2014. Passengers board ships via an automated mobile gangway able to meet the varied door heights of cruise ships. When in berth, ships can plug into the Port’s 12 megawatt shore power system to receive the cleanest source of power.

Pier 27 is located on the northern waterfront of The Embarcadero. The terminal is accessible by transit, on foot or in a vehicle. The terminal is approximately 21 minute walk from the Embarcadero BART/Muni station. The nearest transit is the F Historic streetcar (The Embarcadero/Sansome stop). Passengers can be dropped off by car or taxi at the terminal.

Pier 35 is located on the northern waterfront of The Embarcadero, about a 6-8 minute walk north from Pier 27.
